A trial of the GRV-endorsed ISO-LYNX real-time tracking system was conducted throughout today's racing program. All race rugs used today were fitted with a location tracking beacon as part of this trial.

A pre-race sample was taken from Liberty Tron.

Mercedes Red was slow to begin.

Ronray Legend, Dyna Elise and Dyna Alistair collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Elise. Fabulous Gee, Mercedes Red and Ronray Legend collided on the first turn. Dyna Elise raced wide on the home turn. Tyson's A Rebel and Mercedes Red collided approaching the home turn.

Kikem Kreation was slow to begin.

Destini Cavalier, She's A Rebel, Tao Tao and Cairnlea Roise collided on the first turn, checking Tao Tao which stumbled as a result. She's A Rebel and Cairnlea Rosie collided in the front straight. Tao Tao and Kikem Kreation collided approaching the second turn, checking Tao Tao, Kikem Kreation and Cairnlea Rosie.

Tao Tao was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial bruising to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Connor Allen, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke with Mr Peter Dapiran during kenneling, the trainer of Bro's Little Gem, regarding the suitability of the greyhound running over the 725m distance today.  Exposed form shows that the greyhound has only raced up to 450m and no transition to longer distances has occurred in its short racing career. Mr Dapiran indicated that Bro's Little Gem has had two 600m public trials in preparation for today's event which were to his satisfaction and believed the greyhound would perform well. Stewards advised Mr Dapiran that the performance of Bro's Little Gem would be closely monitored.

A pre-race sample was taken from Hedonistic.

Hedonistic was quick to begin.

Hardaway Kate, Meyentay and Hedonistic collided on the first turn, checking Hardaway Kate, Meyentay and Slew Left. Daisy Me Rollin' galloped on Galloping Flash entering the front straight. Hedonistic and Galloping Flash collided on the third turn. Meyentay and Bro's Little Gem collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Blackjack Cruise; a post-race sample was subsequently collected from the greyhound which was dead heated for second place in the event.

Dyna Owen, Prince Mikado and Kid Ringo collided soon after the start. Kid Ringo checked off Brazilian Brae approaching the first turn. Xava Allen and Limburg Gunna collided approaching the first turn. Brazilian Brae and Kid Ringo collided approaching the second turn. Brazilian Brae, Kid Ringo and Blackjack Cruise collided in the back straight. Blackjack Cruise checked off Kid Ringo on the third turn. Brazilian Brae, Kid Ringo, Xava Allen and Limburg Gunna collided approaching the home turn. Kid Ringo eased on the home turn. Xava Allen eased on the home turn. Blackjack Cruise marred Xava Allen on the home turn.

Blackjack Cruise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right gracilis (back) and both pectoral (chest) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Ann Panetta, the trainer of the greyhound Blackjack Cruise, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Blackjack Cruise with marring. Ms Panetta pleaded guilty to the charge, Blackjack Cruise was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Donald Jarvis, the trainer of the greyhound Kid Ringo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Kid Ringo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left pectoral (chest) muscle and a spike wound to the right wrist, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kid Ringo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge, Kid Ringo was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Levoso, the kennel representative for the greyhound Xava Allen, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Xava Allen was vetted  following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a five-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Xava Allen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Levoso pleaded guilty to the charge, Xava Allen was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Buck.

Zipping Buck was slow to begin.

Tiggerlong Boo and Dorrigo Bale collided soon after the start. Pop The Trunk, Zipping Buck and Kulu Cooper collided soon after the start. Dorrigo Bale and Tiggerlong Zorro collided approaching the first turn, checking Dorrigo Bale. Tiggerlong Boo, Pop The Trunk and Kulu Cooper collided on the first turn, causing Pop The Trunk and Kulu Cooper to race wide. Big Cold Burst galloped on Tiggerlong Zorro on the third turn.

The start time for this event was delayed by approximately two minutes due to technical issues with the judges' equipment.

Invictus Legion was slow to begin.

Billy Moran checked off Handpass soon after the start. Bumble Bee Bolto and Katlin collided soon after the start. Quick Step, Katlin and Pattaya Paul collided approaching the first turn. Katlin, Invictus Legion and Billy Moran collided on the first turn, checking Quick Step and Katlin. Katlin and Invictus Legion collided in the back straight, checking Invictus Legion which lost ground and tailed off as a result.

Katlin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right latissimus dorsi muscle. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.

Invictus Legion was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Oshkosh Erny Vee, the winner of the event.

Following the event, the judge’s inadvertently semaphored the incorrect numbers. These were amended to the correct numbers before the all clear was given.

Uno Fabio was slow to begin.

Loch Freddie, Royal Cosmic, Hutch and Dyna Terror collided soon after the start. Loch Freddie and Hutch collided approaching the first turn.

A sample was taken from Kulu Zipster, the winner of the event.

The start time for this race was delayed by approximately two minutes due to track maintenance.

Gaza's Rooster and Quartz Vein collided on the first turn. Quartz Vein and Faithful Hill collided approaching the second turn. Gaza's Rooster and Quartz Vein collided in the back straight.

A sample was taken from Xera Bale, the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Deadline.

Oshkosh Jay was quick to begin.

Deadline, Trademark Rocky, Tiza Fabio and Dyna Harpa collided soon after the start. Loch Tight, Teflon Travis and Deadline collided approaching the first turn. Trademark Rocky and Dyna Harpa collided on the first turn. Dyna Harpa brushed the running rail on the home turn.

Dyna Harpa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left stifle and a spike wound to the right fourth toe. A three-day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Oshkosh Jay, the winner of the event.

Sharp Missile was a late scratching at 11:41am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Steven Spoljarik, who arrived with his greyhound shortly after the close of kennels and advised that the delay had been caused by traffic congestion. Stewards took into account the explanation and the presence of the greyhound on-course. Mr Spoljarik was fined $200 under GAR 31 for non-presentation and the 28 day stand-down imposed on Sharp Missile was lifted.

You Never Know was slow to begin.

Ready And Armed and Dyna Kushida collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Ready And Armed, Dyna Kushida and Lochinvar Rox collided on the first turn, checking Ready And Armed and Lochinvar Rox. Ready And Armed, Dyna Kushida, Ivanka Rose and You Never Know collided on the home turn. Dyna Kushida marred Ivanka Rose several times in the home straight.

Dyna Kushida was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial abrasions to the left wrist and hock. No veterinary stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Correy Grenfell, the kennel representative for the greyhound Dyna Kushida, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Kushida with marring. Mr Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Kushida was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dyna Greg and Invictus Lawless collided again approaching the second turn. Bera Na Liva and Inside Game collided approaching the winning post.
