Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Chasing Jess.
Press Start and Kid Luck were quick to begin.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Cowcher regarding the racing manners of Elli's My Girl in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cowcher, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Chasing Jess (checked and lost ground soon after the start), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
