The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Scooter and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:14pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Andrea Condon was fined the sum of $100.

Lightfoot Lass and Balmoral Bash collided approaching the first turn.  That Will Be stumbled approaching the first turn and raced wide.  Hurricane Cindy checked off Balmoral Bash on the first turn.

Mega McKayla, Zippy Terrah and Peaked were quick to begin and collided soon after the start.  Final Chimes was slow to begin.  Ghostly Terrah and Terrah Lecki collided soon after the start.  Mega McKayla, Zippy Terrah and Peaked collided approaching the first turn checking Zippy Terrah, Maniac Matilda and Go Maxi, Go Maxi stumbled and lost considerable ground checking Final Chimes and Terrah Lecki.  Mega McKayla checked off Peaked on the first turn.  Maniac Matilda and Final Chimes collided in the back straight.  Mega McKayla and Zippy Terrah collided in the back straight and approaching the second turn checking Terrah Lecki and severely checking Final Chimes.  Terrah Lecki stumbled in the back straight.  Go Maxi checked off Terrah Lecki on the second turn and raced wide.  Terrah Lecki checked off Maniac Matilda on the second turn.

Titanium Boy was quick to begin.

Papa Duncs and Eden Monaro collided approaching the first turn.  Apila Cash checked off Titanium Boy on the first turn checking Papa Duncs, Trumpeter and El Tigera and severely checking Eden Monaro.  Papa Duncs galloped on El Tigera on the second turn.  Titanium Boy and Baudelaire collided on the second turn checking Apila Cash, Baudelaire and Dr. Noely.  Apila Cash, Baudelaire and Trumpeter collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn causing Baudelarire to collide with Dr. Noely, El Tigera raced wide as a result.

Surgical Wally crossed out approaching the first turn checking Dubai Prince, Scarlet Magic, Double Black and severely checking Shrek's Typhoon.  Dubai Prince and Scarlet Magic collided on the second turn.

Dr. Gidget and Tarika Tara collided approaching the first turn checking Tarika Tara and Fabulous Gee.  Markinch Maid and Tarika Tara collided on the first turn.  Parie Shiraz and Fabulous Gee collided on the first turn.  Fourth Dimention and Dr. Gidget collided on the first turn severely checking Dr. Gidget causing Markinch Maid to collide with Dr. Gidget, Dr. Gidget raced wide and lost considerable ground as a result checking Tarika Tara.  Parie Shiraz checked off Fabulous Gee approaching the second turn.  Milly's Choice and Fourth Dimention collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Parie Shiraz checked off Tarika Tara on the third turn.  Fourth Dimention and Tarika Tara collided on the home turn.

Rusty Mia was a late scratching at 2.40pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Brendan Moles was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Jarkis, the trainer of Primrose Diamond regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Primrose Diamond last raced on 7 December, 2017 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Dr. Toretto and Able Bess collided soon after the start.  Bless 'Em all checked off Walt's Star on the second turn and collided with Summer Kate.  Le Doyen and Able Bess collided on the second turn checking Le Doyen and Dr. Toretto.  Bless 'Em All and Summer Kate collided on the second turn.

Mr Jason Formosa, trainer of Banjo Barbie declared a new weight of 28.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Banjo Barbie last raced at 30.4kgs.

Delta's Magic, Penny Lane Keats and Holyfield were quick to begin.

Merchant Prince, Lektra Boss and Banjo Barbie collided approaching the first turn checking Banjo Barbie. Lektra Boss and Chelsea Drogba collided on the first turn.  Chelsea Drogba checked off Lektra Damage on the second turn and lost ground.  Merchant Prince checked off Holyfield on the second turn checking Lektra Boss.

Vane Power and Blue Alcatraz were slow to begin.

Red Hot Fox and Zebo Bale collided soon after the start.  Red Hot Fox checked off Zebo Bale approaching the first turn.  Red Hot Fox, Oakmont Whisper and Vane Power collided approaching the first turn checking Oakmont Whisper.  Red Hot Fox and Dr. Kestrel collided on the first turn.  Zebo Bale checked off Jacey Allen on the first turn and collided with Red Hot Fox checking Red Hot Fox and Dr. Kestrel, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Oakmont Whisper and Vane Power collided on the first turn checking Oakmont Whisper.

Stewards spoke to Mr Graeme Hope, the trainer of Miller's Court regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miller's Court last raced on 12 October, 2017 and is returning to racing after being on season. 

Sheza Dragon was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Mt. View Gift, Miller's Court and Elite Eliana.  Timeless Rose checked off Sheza Dragon on the first turn checking Where's Marcia, She's Our Poppy, Mt. View Gift, Miller's Court, Elite Eliana and Unique Spirit, Timeless Rose lost considerable ground. 

Sheza Dragon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Long Liv Sid was a late scratching at 2:08pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Steward's will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Kelly, the trainer of Podium Express regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Podium Express last raced on 20 December, 2017 and is returning to racing following a back injury.

Mr Keith Kelly, trainer of Rapid Rock declared a new weight of 26.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rapid Rock last raced at 24.2kgs.

Shrek's Rusty was slow to begin.

Podium Express raced wide on the first turn.  Shrek's Rusty, Sure Load and Rapid Rock collided on the first turn causing Sure Load and Rapid Rock to race wide.  Sure Load checked off Rapid Rock on the home turn.

Podium Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury and thoraco-lumbar muscle pain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Beluga Diamond was a late scratching at 2:24pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Early King was slow to begin.

Early Spring and Porscha's Girl collided soon after the start.  Early King galloped on Will Dazzle approaching the first turn.  Just Blacky and Early Spring collided on the first turn.  Just Blacky checked off Trinity Kid on the home turn.

Mrs. Jawa was a late scratching at 2.37pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Travis Howell was fined the sum of $100.

Two Toes Tony was slow to begin.

Poison Pen and Ninetymile Holly collided approaching the first turn.  Gammy's Choice and Poison Pen collided approaching the first turn causing What's Her Name to gallop on Gammy's Choice,  severely checking What's Her Name, Gammy's Choice and Two Toes Tony.  Poison Pen raced wide from the first turn to approaching the home turn.  Two Toes Tony and What's Her Name collided on the home turn.  Gammy's Choice raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Gammy's Choice was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left and right foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results -

Hurricane Brad trialled over the 315m from box 3, weight 32.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 7th in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 27 1/4 lengths. Hurricane Brad was Not Cleared. 

Urana Banjo trialled over the 315m from box 1, weight 28.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 3/4 lengths. Urana Banjo was Cleared. 

It's Debatable trialled over the 315m from box 2, weight 29.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 3/4 lengths. It's Debatable was Cleared. 

Take Home Sadie trialled over the 315m from box 7, weight 23.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound won by a margin of 1/2 length. Take Home Sadie was Cleared. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Bryce Templeton, the trainer of For You Honey regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  For You Honey last raced on 2 October 2017. Mr Templeton stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, For You Honey trialled over the 315m from box 6, weight 29.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 6th in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 lengths. For You Honey was Not Cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr Ken Holland, the trainer of Audacious Angel regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Audacious Angel last raced on 9 September 2017. Mr Holland stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Audacious Angel trialled over the 315m from box 8, weight 27.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 7. The time of the trial was 18.72, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1/2 length. Audacious Angel was Cleared.
