Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Eaglehawk Miss.
Courage Crest and Mega Moo were slow to begin.
Mickie Raven, Lucky Paws and Shady Whip collided soon after the start. Mickie Raven and Lucky Paws collided at the 300m mark. Shady Whip turned its head to the outsdie at the 275m mark. Mickie Raven and Lucky Paws collided at the 250m mark. Mickie Raven, Shady Whip and Surf A Lot collided approaching the winning post.
Shady Whip was vetted and revetted following event six. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury and no veterinary stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Kerry Houlahan, the kennel representative for the greyhound Shady Whip, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 275m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Shady Whip with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Houlahan pleaded guilty to the charge, Shady Whip was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
