Steward's Report
Omar Parker was a late scratching at 10:48AM due to weight variation, up 1.2kg (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Pieter Smoor was fined the sum of $100.
Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Howell, the trainer of Crime Minister, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crime Minister last raced on 22 December 2017. Mr Howell stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a right shoulder injury.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Little Kensi; a post-race sample was subsequently collected from the greyhound which was unplaced in the event.
Gin Lee's Pride and Crime Minister were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Longshot Glory, Rapid Rock and Becket collided at the 250m mark. Crime Minister checked off Little Kensi at the 150m mark.
