Heza Real Deal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg shind soreness and abrasion, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Savannah Icon was a late scratching at 9:00 am, due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Ms Marien Sullivan, was fined the sum of $100.  Ms Sullivan stated that she had expected the weight to be okay and that the greyhound is heavier because morning racing is not its normal routine.

Stewards spoke to Ms Deborah Coleman, the trainer of Zipping Jacy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zipping Jacy last raced on 30 August 2017.  Ms Coleman stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after partial toe amputation.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Chilcott, the trainer of It's Magic, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  It's Magic last raced on 19 August 2017.  Mr Chilcott stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a broken right metatarsal.

Solo was a late scratching at 9:23 am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to a phalangeal joint injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Ms Brenda Kinder advised Stewards that the injury had occurred when Solo fallen awkwardly when alighting her vehicle upon arrival at the track.

Stewards spoke to Mr Frank Hand, the trainer of Shake, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shake last raced on 25 August 2017.  Mr Hand stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being returned from GAP.
