Steward's Report
Savannah Icon was a late scratching at 9:00 am, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms Marien Sullivan, was fined the sum of $100. Ms Sullivan stated that she had expected the weight to be okay and that the greyhound is heavier because morning racing is not its normal routine.
Lara's Double was quick to begin. Winlock Intent went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Harry's My Name, Lara's Double and Miss Dangerwood collided soon after the start, checking Miss Dangerwood. Lara's Double and Miss Dangerwood collided on the first turn. Winlock Intent galloped on the heels of Sugar Bear approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Miss Dangerwood raced wide in the home straight.
Ultron was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg shoulder injury and abrasions to left stopper and both hindlegs, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
