Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Deborah Coleman, the trainer of Zipping Jacy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Jacy last raced on 30 August 2017. Ms Coleman stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after partial toe amputation.
Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Chilcott, the trainer of It's Magic, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. It's Magic last raced on 19 August 2017. Mr Chilcott stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a broken right metatarsal.
Jack's Pick and Scott Lucky were quick to begin. Orleans was slow to begin. Bar King Buddy and Jack's Pick collided approaching the first turn. Orleans and Patty's Prince collided approaching the first turn. Bar King Buddy, China Catch 'Em and Jack's Pick collided on the first turn, checking Jack's Pick, and severely checking Bar King Buddy. Scott Lucky and Zipping Jacy collided approaching the home turn.
Bar King Buddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hind hock and right foreleg nail injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
