A pre-race sample was taken from Regal Tycoon.
Under Sea was quick to begin. Apropos was slow to begin.
St. Pauli and Voodoo Hustler collided soon after the start. Shimmy Dat Ray, Voodoo Hustler and Fruit Frames collided on the first turn. Regal Tycoon and Maximum Bliss collided on the home turn. St. Pauli, Voodoo Hustler and Fruit Frames collided on the home turn, severely checking Fruit Frames. Under Sea checked off Regal Tycoon in the home straight. Maximum Bliss raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Alfred Spiteri after the greyhound Regal Tycoon was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Spiteri was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr Gary Brett after the greyhound Regal Tycoon was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Brett was reminded of their responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
