A pre-race sample was taken from Shi The One.
Gomez Sanchez was quick to begin. Miss Premier and Tomdor were slow to begin.
Tomdor raced wide in the back straight to the first turn. Shi The One, Rocketness and Black Legend collided on the first turn, severely checking Rocketness and Black Legend. Gomez Sanchez raced wide in the home straight.
Shi The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocation to the right hind toes. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
Weiss Allen was vetted following the event after suffering interfence pursuing the follow-on lure. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture of the left radius and ulna and was humanely euthanised.
