Steward's Report
Majik Mikado was quick to begin. Little Mischa was slow to begin. Papa Duncs, Aston Halle, Little Mischa and Vee Bee Mate collided soon after the start checking Little Mischa. Papa Duncs, Aston Halle and Vee Bee Mate collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Halle. Fantasy Blaze and Papa Duncs collided approaching the home turn checking Fantasy Blaze. Papa Duncs was checked off Vee Bee Mate on the home turn. Majik Mikado eased approaching the winning post.
Majik Mikado was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber the representative for Majik Mikado regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Majik Mikado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Majik Mikado was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
