Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber the representative for Majik Mikado regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Majik Mikado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Majik Mikado was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Daniel Davis the representative forJesterday regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Jesterday last raced on 04/08/17.  Mr. Davis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.

Mr. L. Fulford representative for Move That Energy declared a new weight of 28.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Move That Energy last raced at 30.2kg.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Good Boy Oscar and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.15pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. A. Blake was fined the sum of $100.

Creighton the trainer of the greyhound Wanneroo regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn.  Wanneroo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and a spike wound to the right dew claw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Wanneroo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Creighton pleaded guilty to the charge, Wanneroo was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards contacted Mrs. V. Sultana the  trainer of Bandit Brad after she left the course prior to having the greyhound vetted.  Mrs. Sultana was directed to present Bandit Brad to Warragul tomorrow night for a vet check.

Supplimentary report:-

Mrs. Sultana presented Bandit Brad for a vet check at Warragul (02/01/18) as requested by Stewards.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury.  At a subsequent inquiry Stewards charged Mrs. Sultana with a breach of GAR 42(2) after she failed to check the clearance to leave course form and gain authorisation from the Stewards prior to removing Bandit Brad from the kennels. Mrs. Sultana pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100.

Flywheel Alfie trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 35.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.92 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .25 length.  Flywheen Alfie was cleared.
