A pre-race sample was taken from Riccarton upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Legal was a late scratching at 6.22pm due to illness (post seasonal milk) (GAR23). A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from No Road.
No Road and Lady Alliance were slow to begin.
Pacific Dreamer checked off Rhyan’s Return approaching the first turn. Riccarton and No Road collided approaching the first turn, approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Pacific Dreamer raced wide in the home straight.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Porscha's Girl trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 25.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 2ndin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Porscha's Girl was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr C. Hass, the trainer of Street Artist regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Street Artist last raced on 30 July 2017. Mr Hass stated that greyhound was returning from a right monkey muscle injury and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Street Artist trialled over the 311mtrs from box 6, weight 31.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 ½ lengths. Street Artist was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr R. Hill, the trainer of Dynamic Deano regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dynamic Deano last raced on 23 June 2017. Mr Hill stated that the greyhound was returning from a toe injury and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dynamic Deano trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 32.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 ¼ lengths. Dynamic Deano was Cleared and also cleared for a weight trial.
