Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Stitch Gun Miss and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs D. White was fined the sum of $100.
Buckle Up Leo was slow to begin.
Unexplainable and Liberty Sage collided soon after the start checking Unexplainable. Why Not Hugh crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Zipping Toto and severely checking Why Not Kez and Ancarian Lancer, Why Not Kez fell as a result. Unexplainable and Liberty Sage collided on the home turn. Zipping Toto and Buckle Up Leo collided on the home turn.
Why Not Kez was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring injury and an abrasion to the right medial hibia/fibula, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
