Yelredda Saint was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhounds sustained diaphragmatic flutter, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Stitch Gun Miss and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs D. White was fined the sum of $100.

Buckle Up Leo was slow to begin.

Unexplainable and Liberty Sage collided soon after the start checking Unexplainable.  Why Not Hugh crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Zipping Toto and severely checking Why Not Kez and Ancarian Lancer, Why Not Kez fell as a result.  Unexplainable and Liberty Sage collided on the home turn.  Zipping Toto and Buckle Up Leo collided on the home turn.

Why Not Kez was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring injury and an abrasion to the right medial hibia/fibula, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Give Away King checked off Nareen approaching the first turn.  Nareen, Totally Fab, New Lass and Doused In Mud collided approaching the first turn checking All About Corey, Give Away King, Nareen and severely checking Popowski, Doused In Mud and New Lass, New Lass fell as a result.  Nareen and Give Away King collided on the first turn checking Nareen.  Nareen and Totally Fab collided entering the home straight.

New Lass was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and an abrasion to the left front wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Evelyn and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.06pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr R. Wood was fined the sum of $100.

Blue Reef and Sesame Street collided approaching the first turn checking Harambe's Might and Sesame Street.  Blue Reef and Sesame Street collided approaching the second turn checking Sesame Street and severely checking Blue Reef which pulled up.  Manx Czar checked off Dewana Special approaching the second turn.  Mahi Indian clipped the heels of Leading The Way on the second turn.

Oozing Mojo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and a spike wound to the right hind, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Cool Boots was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right achillies, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Etiquette - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr I. Brown, the trainer of My Alibi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  My Alibi last raced on 19 October 2017.  Mr Brown stated that the greyhound was returninf rom a left sesamoid injury.

Miss Dozer was slow to begin.

Le Sands, My Names Schultz and Sharp Missile collided soon after the start.  Le Sands and My Names Schultz collided on the first turn.  My Names Schultz checked off My Alibi on the first turn.  Le Sands and My Names Schultz collided approaching the home turn.  Sharp Missile and Miss Dozer collided approaching the winning post.

Pacific Dreamer checked off Rhyan’s Return approaching the first turn.  Riccarton and No Road collided approaching the first turn, approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Pacific Dreamer raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Porscha's Girl trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 25.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 2ndin a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Porscha's Girl was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr C. Hass, the trainer of Street Artist regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Street Artist last raced on 30 July 2017. Mr Hass stated that greyhound was returning from a right monkey muscle injury and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Street Artist trialled over the 311mtrs from box 6, weight 31.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 ½ lengths. Street Artist was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr R. Hill, the trainer of Dynamic Deano regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Dynamic Deano last raced on 23 June 2017. Mr Hill stated that the greyhound was returning from a toe injury and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dynamic Deano trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 32.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 ¼ lengths. Dynamic Deano was Cleared and also cleared for a weight trial.
