Prior to the event the kennel temperature was recorded at 20.7 degrees, while the ambient temperature was 32.4 degrees.
Rattle Gate checked off Loch Tight on the first turn, checking Foxy Whip and severely checking Vectis Seyarda. Vectis Seyarda tailed off in the back straight. Loch Tight and Nareen collided approaching the home turn.
Vectis Seyarda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadricep muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
