Forever Cousins checked off Mick McKenley approaching the first turn. Lady Pippa checked off La Tiana on the first turn causing Lady Pippa to fall, checking Golden Gem as a result. Mick McKenley and Dyna Vagrant collided on the home turn.
Lady Pippa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
