Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Deborah White, the trainer of Spring Time Miss, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Spring Time Miss last raced on 26 October 1017. Ms White stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right wrist.
Mr Craig Hughes, trainer of Hollywood Pearl, declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hollywood Pearl last raced at 26.1kg.
Hollywood Pearl was quick to begin.
Riverdale Danger and Medika collided soon after the start, checking Medika. Crackerjack Mick and Serendipity Gem collided approaching the first turn. Medika and Serendipity Gem collided approaching the home turn, checking Medika and severely checking Serendipity Gem which fell, checking Crackerjack Mick as a result. Riverdale Danger and Malick collided approaching the home turn, checking Riverdale Danger. Well Armed raced wide in the home straight.
Serendipity Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractures to the right metacarpal and wrist. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
