Steward's Report
Mumma's Meatloaf and Ishmy Gloria were slow to begin. Three Scoops and Mumma's Meatloaf collided soon after the start. BLue Alcatraz and Three Scoops collided on the first turn, checking Three Scoops, Gold Vein and Ishmy Gloria, causing Three Scoops to stumble. Three Scoops checked off Gold Vein in the front straight. Mumma's Meatloaf and Ishmy Gloria collided on the second turn.
Three Scoops was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left fore foot and was stood down for 10 days.
A sample was taken from Werner Bale - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Courts, the lure driver, regarding the lure distance to the lead greyhound in the front straight, first time around. The lure was closer to the lead greyhound than the prescribed distance of 5 to 8 mtrs, but this had no effect or bearing on the outcome of this race. Mr Courts was requested to position the lure at the correct distance at all times.
