Dubai Prince and Al's In Trouble were quick to begin. Tranquil Flex and Zipping Monty collided soon after the start. Tranquil Flex tailed off approaching the first turn. Dubai Prince and Zipping Monty collided on the third turn.

Tranquil Flex was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle and right hip muscles, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. David Graham, the trainer Tranquil Flex about her frequency of racing and today's performance. After hearing submissions from Mr Graham, the Stewards deemed the performance of Tranquil Flex unsatisfactory and acting in accordance with GAR 71, the Stewards directed that Tranquil Flex must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) to ensure it's fitness and suitability for racing, before any future nomination will be accepted. Connections further advised that the retirement of Tranquil Flex will now be considered. 

Stewards charged Handler, Ms Caroline Jones with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that she failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Zipping Monty for racing. Ms. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $100.

High Tenacity and Throw The Book were quick to begin. Fat Rhino was slow to begin. Crystal Bling and Undisputed collided soon after the start. Undisputed and Manitoba collided soon after the start. Fat Rhino and Titanium Boy collided several times on the first turn. High Tenacity checked off the heels of Undisputed on the first turn. High Tenacity checked off the heels of Manitoba on the second turn. Manitoba and Mepunga Prue collided on the third turn. Manitoba checked off the heels of Undisputed on the home turn. 

Stewards interviewed Trainer Mr C Redenbach, Trainer Mr L Green and unlicensed person Mr D Furner in regards to the presence of Mr Furner in the kennel building to retrieve Fat Rhino in preparing to leave course. The Stewards issued a charge to Mr Green under GAR 101 (2) in that he permitted an unlicensed person, namely Mr Furner, to handle Fat Rhino in the kennel bay area of Race 2 prior to leaving course. Mr Green pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $200. When determining penalty, stewards took into consideration Mr Green's long unblemished record, his guilty plea, his contrition and the forthright manner in which he conducted himself before the Stewards. Against these factors, stewards considered the need for general deterance and the potentially serious nature of the offence.

Lylah's Way was quick to begin. Blue Magoo was slow to begin. Blue Magoo checked off the heels of Yogi Mikado soon after the start. Fred Dagg and Yogi Mikado collided soon after the start, checking Fred Dagg. Blue Magoo and Revved Up Dee collided several times on the first turn. Fred Dagg brushed the running rail on the first turn. Yogi Mikado checked off the heels of Toss The Dice and collided heavily with Jim's Hotel on the first turn. 

My Girl Josiah was a late scratching at 12.57pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr John Bosnich was fined the sum of $100.

Pure Cascade was quick to begin. Dapper Diesel was slow to begin. My Miss Molly and Xera Bale collided soon after the start. Bluehawk Ralph, My Miss Molly and Xera Bale collided on the first turn. Bluehawk Ralph and Xera Bale collided heavily approaching the second turn. Pure Cascade and Watch Me Wyn collided on the second turn. Bye All and Watch Me Wyn collided on the second turn. Pure Cascade and Watch Me Wyn collided on the second turn. My Miss Molly shifted out, raced ungenerously and collided with Pure Cascade on the third turn. Dapper Diesel and Watch Me Wyn raced tightly and collided in the home straight.

My Miss Molly was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. S. Spoljaric, the trainer of My Miss Molly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the third turn. 

Casanova was a late scratching at 1:25pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to the left stopper bone. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Smitten, Zero Whispers and One Cup Short were quick to begin. Duty Free and Dyna Elvio were slow to begin. Duty Free, Dyna Elvio and One Cup Short collided approaching the first turn. Duty Free and Dyna Elvio collided on the first turn. Smitten and Zero Whispers collided several times approaching the home turn. Smitten faded in the home straight.

Perrie The Fairy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sore back and trapezius muscle and was stood down for 10 days.

Mumma's Meatloaf and Ishmy Gloria were slow to begin. Three Scoops and Mumma's Meatloaf collided soon after the start. BLue Alcatraz and Three Scoops collided on the first turn, checking Three Scoops, Gold Vein and Ishmy Gloria, causing Three Scoops to stumble. Three Scoops checked off Gold Vein in the front straight. Mumma's Meatloaf and Ishmy Gloria collided on the second turn. 

Three Scoops was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left fore foot and was stood down for 10 days.

A sample was taken from Werner Bale - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Courts, the lure driver, regarding the lure distance to the lead greyhound in the front straight, first time around. The lure was closer to the lead greyhound than the prescribed distance of 5 to 8 mtrs, but this had no effect or bearing on the outcome of this race. Mr Courts was requested to position the lure at the correct distance at all times.

The start of this event was delayed to hold for a gallops race at Seoul.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Gats As Promised trialled over the 515m from box 5, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of five starters. The time of the trial was 30.01, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 lengths. Gats As Promised was cleared.
