Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Jessica Hopkins, the trainr of Norendal, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Norendal last raced at Geelong on 26 September, 2017. Ms Hopkins stated that the greyhound had been spelling due to a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jimbo's Sox.
Zipping Toto crossed to the rails soon after the start. Cousin's Choice and Galloping Wytee collided soon after the start. Norendal and Zipping Toto collided at the 300m. Doran's Grove crossed out at the 250m, checking Maniac Matilda. Jimbo's Sox crossed in at the 250m, checking Maniac Matilda. Blue Knight and Norendal collided at the 200m. Galloping Wytee galloped on Maniac Matilida at the 200m, checking Galloping Wytee.
Cousin's Choice was vetted and re-vetted following race five. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and gastrocnemius (calf) muscles. A ten day stand down period was imposed.
