Miss Legality and Rosie Sprite were slow to begin.
Sweet Shiraz, Avatar Sparkle and It's All Talk collided soon after the start. Miss Legality and It Is Done collided soon after the start. It Is Done and Rosie Sprite collided at the 300m mark. Moore Of Moore and Sweet Shiraz collided at the 275m mark, checking Sweet Shiraz.
Sweet Shiraz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right sartorius (pencil) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
