This meeting was deemed "hot weather affected".  At the close of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.1 degees and the kennel temperature was 21.6 degrees.

Aussie Rock was a late scratching at 9.29am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sure Load and Ryder Sir collided soon after the start checking Sure Load.  San Remo Lass and Jamie's Rocket collided soon after the start.  Ba Ria and Ryder Sir collided at the 100m mark and again approaching the 50m mark checking both greyhounds.  Ba Ria, Ryder Sir and Sure Load collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to S Waycott, the trainer of Moyarra Arquebus, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Moyarra Arquebus last raced at Warrnambool on 21 September, 2017.  Mr Waycott stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a split webbing injury to the left front foot.

Sunlit Conswala and Moyarra Arquebus were slow to begin.  Here Comes Tom and Misload collided soon after the start.  Moyarra Arquebus, Here Comes Tom and Misload collided several times approaching the 250m mark.  Rhiannon Royale crossed to the outside and eased at the 250m mark colliding with Moyarra Arquebus, Here Comes Tom and Misload.  Springinator and Miss Lana collided at the 250m mark.  Rhiannon Royale checked off Moyarra Arquebus at the 200m mark.  Sunlit Conswala checked off Here Comes Tom at the 150m mark.  Rhiannon Royale checked off Moyarra Arquebus at the 200m mark.  Sunlit Conswala checked off Here Comes Tom at the 150m mark.  Rhiannon Royale checked off Misload approaching the winning post. 

Sunlit Conswala was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and soreness to the right triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down perid was imposed.  

Stewards spoke to Mr B Ender, the trainer of Rhiannon Royale regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 250 mark.  Rhiannon Royale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left calf muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rhiannon Royale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr B Ender pleaded guilty to the charge.  Rhiannon Royale was found guilty as charged and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Omar Parker was a late scratching at 11.51am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a left stopper pad injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  As a result, this event was delayed approximately two minutes to allow a full veterinary examination of the greyhound prior to the greyhounds leaving the kennel block for this event.

Dapper Diesel and Jagger Circuit collided at the 300m mark.  Way Things Are and Banana Bubblegum collided at the 200m mark checking Banana Bubblegum.  Dapper Diesel and Triceps Brachii collided at the 50m mark.

Thank Me Later and Bless 'Em All collided soon after the start.  Coco Marlow and Bear Magic collided approaching the 250m mark.  King Of Diamonds and Tzar Knight collided at the 250m mark checking King Of Diamonds.  Tzar Knight and Bear Magic collided at the 150m mark.  Bear Magic faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground as a result.  King Of Diamonds checked off Coco Marlow at the 50m mark.  Thank Me Later raced wide throughout the event.

Bear Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that he greyhound sustained injuries to the left back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Nitro Heroine was a late scratching at 10.36am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration.  A 5 day stand down peripd was imposed.

Tricky Trey crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Dodge Ball and Pistol.  Pistol and Hey Shaza Fozz collided at the 150m mark.  Tally Ho Billy raced wide throughout the event.

Mr G Hammerstein, trainer of Starbright Kate, declard a new weight of 26.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Starbright Kate last raced at Bendigo on 6 December, 2017 at 25.4kgs.

Mepunga Dasha was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Go Zippy Go, Bold Reflection and Azure Dragon were slow to begin.  Bold Reflection, Mepunga Giant, Allen Ernie, Go Zippy Go and Dark Star collided soon after the start checking Go Zippy Go, Mepunga Giant and Bold Reflection.  Bold Reflection checked off Go Zippy Go at the 300m mark.  Azure Dragon and Rhomboid collided at the 100m mark.

Royal Bruno was slow to begin.  Miss Booming crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Folding Green and Jupiter Asending.  Avatar Sparkle and My Girl Margie collided approaching the 300m mark.  Jupiter Asending and Folding Green collided several times approaching the 300m mark.  Folding Green checked off Jupiter Asending at the 300m mark; Jupiter Asending continued to race wide from the 250m mark for the remainder of the event.  My Girl Margie and Miss Booming raced tight and collided several times from the 150m mark to the winning post.

Sports Knight was slow to begin.  City Rambler and Shifty Joshua collided soon after the start.  City Rambler, Shifty Joshua, Fiery Nell, We Froff Dat and Diligent Miss collided approaching the 300m mark checking City Rambler   We Froff Dat and Diligent Miss collided approaching the 250m mark checking Diligent Miss which tailed off as a result.  Hugh Made Who crossed to the outside at the 250m mark colliding with Fiery Nell.  Hugh Made Who clipped the heels of We Froff Dat at the 50m mark causing Hugh Made Who to fall as a result.

Hugh Made Who was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Diligent Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abdominal muscle injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
