In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy this meeting was marked 'Heat Affected'. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 22 degrees and the kennel temperature was 20.0 degrees.
Sanduman and Hardaway Zoe were slow to begin.
Holiday Dancer and Sara's Sox collided at the 250m mark. Holiday Dancer crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Maniac Matilda and Don's Bobcat collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark, severely checking Maniac Matilda. Sanduman checked off Sara's Sox at the 100m mark. Maniac Matilda and Sara's Sox collided several times from the 100m mark to the winning post, checking both greyhounds.
