Steward's Report
Reality Thunder was a late scratching at 9.17 am, due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards were subsequently contacted by the Owner of the greyhound - Mr J Egan to be advised of a matter personal in nature. Stewards have accepted the explanation of Mr Egan and intend to lift all penalties currently imposed on Reality Thunder.
A pre-race sample was taken from Manila Blue.
Paula's Delight and Mrs Jawa were quick to begin. Speed Alert was slow to begin. Manila Blue checked off Mrs Jawa approaching the first turn, faltered and tailed off as a result. Paula's Delight and Tat Ashleigh collided entering the home straight. Tat Ashleigh and Mrs Jawa collided in the home straight, checking Mrs Jawa.
Tat Ashleigh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a flexor tendon injury, a three day stand down period was imposed.
Manila Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg calf and back muscle injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
