Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Giddings, the trainer of Myrniong Bomb regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Myrniong Bomb last raced on 21st May 2017. Mr. Giddings stated that the greyhound is returning to race after a rib injury.
Due to the lighting issue following event 7 this event was rescheduled to start at 10:50pm.
Yangtze was slow to begin. Boopa Doop Girl and In Dee Genes collided soon after the start checking Boopa Doop Girl. Miss Dozer and Botanic Lass collided approaching the first turn severely checking Botanic Lass. Zahra Bella and Yangtze collided approaching the home turn. Miss Dozer and Jockey Bale collided approaching the home turn. Boopa Doop Girl checked off Yangtze on the home turn.
Botanic Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail to its right front foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
