A pre-race sample was taken from Good Odds Jet.
Lady Alliance and Burnsy's Sam were quick to begin.
Good Odds Jet and Burnsy's Sam collided on the first turn. Queen Dunroaming and Showin' Attitude collided on the first turn. Fleur De Rose checked off Queen Dunroaming approaching the home turn. queen Dunroaming brushed the running rail on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to the trainer/handler of Showin' Attitude Ms K. Houlahan regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound. Stewards noted that the greyhound was already on a box first however Ms Houlahan was unable to box Showin' Attitude for this event and the starter subsequently boxed the greyhound. Stewards advised Ms Houlahan that she is required to find a suitable handler (GAR 45).
