Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Colpoys, the trainer of Gee Callan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gee Callan last raced on 31st May 2017. Mr. Colpoys stated that Gee Callan is returning to race after being spelled. Mr. Colpoys also declared a new weight of 34.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2). Gee Callan last raced at 33.2kgs.
Another Hope was a late scratching at 5:59pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to bruising to its left back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Bruree Chief.
Bruree Chief was slow to begin. Fayette and Shifty Joshua collided approaching the first turn. Lil Bit Awesome and Bruree Chief collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Ice Cold Yug trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 3, weight 32.7kgs. The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.05. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Ice Cold Yug was cleared.
