A pre-race sample was taken from Aye Milo.
Aoife was slow to begin.
Santana and Cash Money collided soon after the start, checking Santana. Santana checked off Aoife approaching the first turn, causing Santana to race wide. Aye Milo, Definitely Two and My Girl Lois collided approaching the first turn, checking My Girl Louis. Aye Milo and Definitely Two collided on the first turn, checking Aye Milo. Aoife, Cash Money and My Girl Louis collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Aye Milo and Violet Sky collided on the first turn. Ice Cold Yug eased on the first turn causing Violet Sky to gallop on Ice Cold Yug, checking Aye Milo and Violet Sky. Definitely Two eased on the home turn, checking Ice Cold Yug, Violet Sky and Aoife. Definitely Two and Ice Cold Yug collided on the home turn. Aoife and Definitely Two collided entering the home straight. Ice Cold Yug and My Girl Lois collided entering the home straight. Santana raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr John van Konynenburg, the trainer of the greyhound Definitely Two, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Definitely Two with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr van Konynenburg pleaded not guilty to the charge, Definitely Two was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for three months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Rilen, the kennel representative for the greyhound Ice Cold Yug, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Ice Cold Yug with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Rilen pleaded guilty to the charge, Ice Cold Yug was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
