Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dane Daisy.
Siver Lightning was slow to begin.
He's Clever and Dane Daisy collided approaching the first turn, checking In A Pickle and He's Clever. It's Debatable checked off Siver Lightning approaching the home turn. Dane Daisy marred It's Debatable on the home turn and several times in the home straight, severely checking It's Debatable.
Dane Daisy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Ms Jan Brooks, the trainer of the greyhound Dane Daisy, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dane Daisy with marring. Ms Brooks pleaded guilty to the charge, Dane Daisy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
