An Out of Competition sample was taken from Light The Track engaged in this event on 11/09/17 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse were quick to begin. Fat Rhino was slow to begin. Pacific Power and Light The Track collided soon after the start. Ed's Intention, Fat Rhino and Ruby Red Eden collided soon after the start. Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse collided on the first turn. Light The Track and Ed's Intention collided on the first turn. Fat Rhino and Ruby Red Eden collided on the first turn. Pacific Power, Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse collided approaching the second turn. Pacific Power galloped on Amber's Romance approaching the second turn and crossed to the outside checking Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse and severely checking Pacific Power and Fat Rhino causing Fat Rhino to race wide and Ruby Red Eden to fall. Light The Track, Ed's Intention and Amber's Romance collided on the second turn.
Ruby Red Eden was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Ed's Intention - winner of the event.
Stewards inspected the track following the fall of Ruby Red Eden and found the track safe for racing.
