An Out of Competition sample was taken from Midnight Bolt engaged in this event on 11/09/17 pursuant to GAR 79A.
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to the shortness of the gap between races.
A pre-race sample was taken from Blazin' Romeo.
Midnight Bolt was quick to begin. Evie Girl and Ollie Pedro collided soon after the start. Cyclone Jebrynah and Evie Girl collided on the first turn checking Cyclone Jebrynah. Blazin' Romeo and Evie Girl collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Riviera Cruz, Ernie's Legacy and Legal collided several times from the first turn to approaching the home turn checking Legal and severely checking Ernie's Legacy and Riviera Cruz. Cyclone Jebrynah and Ollie Pedro collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Evie Girl galloped on Ernie's Legacy approaching the home turn and raced wide. Cyclone Jebrynah and Ollie Pedro collided several times from the home turn to entering the home straight.
Cyclone Jebrynah was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injured left toe, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Eustance regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cyclone Jebrynah. Stewards directed that Cyclone Jebrynah be boxed first in future events.
A sample was taken from Midnight Bolt - winner of the event.
