Wharfies Girl and Ants In Pants were slow to begin.  She's A Beaut, Fonty Allen, Tarika Tara and Zellman collided approaching the first turn checking She's A Beaut, Fonty Allen and Tarika Tara.  Rayda and Lucrative Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Fonty Allen was checked off She's A Beaut approaching the first turn.  Fonty Allen and Tarika Tara collided on the first turn.  Ants In Pants, Zellman and Rayda collided on the first turn.  Ants In Pants and Rayda collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Ants In Pants.  She's A Beaut raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Vane Power, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Harambe's Might, Mo Daniher and Vane Power were slow to begin.  Deano's Smidge and Henley Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Vane Power was checked off Deno's Smidge on the first turn.  Vane Power hit the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground.  Henley Bale was checked off Over Indulgence on the first turn.  Over Indulgence and Deano's Smidge collided entering the home straight.

Vane Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse were quick to begin.  Fat Rhino was slow to begin.  Pacific Power and Light The Track collided soon after the start.  Ed's Intention, Fat Rhino and Ruby Red Eden collided soon after the start.  Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse collided on the first turn.  Light The Track and Ed's Intention collided on the first turn.  Fat Rhino and Ruby Red Eden collided on the first turn.  Pacific Power, Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse collided approaching the second turn.  Pacific Power galloped on Amber's Romance approaching the second turn and crossed to the outside checking Amber's Romance and My Mate Horse and severely checking Pacific Power and Fat Rhino causing Fat Rhino to race wide and Ruby Red Eden to fall.  Light The Track, Ed's Intention and Amber's Romance collided on the second turn.

Ruby Red Eden was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Hyundai Hawk and Hoof It were quick to begin.  Seven Two was slow to begin.  Gold Odessa was checked off Hoof It soon after the start and collided with Little Tacka.  Giroud, Bigtime Raider and Little Tacka collided on the first turn checking Giroud, Bigtime Raider, Gold Odessa and Seven Two.  Seven Two and Giroud collided entering the home straight.

Sprint Tee was quick to begin.  Dundee Tango, Blackhaven and Galloping Tina were slow to begin.  Tanoan Creek and Woodleigh Blue collided soon after the start.  Sprint Tee, Destroyer and Blackhaven collided approaching the first turn.  Woodleigh Blue was checked off Cha Ching Ching on the first turn.  Destroyer and Blackhaven collided on the first turn.  Dundee Tango and Galloping Tina collided on the second turn checking Galloping Tina.  Destroyer galloped on Spring Tee in the back straight checking Sprint Tee.  Woodleigh Blue was checked off Cha Ching Ching on the third turn.  Cha Ching Ching and Tanoan Creek collided in the home straight.  Tanoan Creek and Dundee Tango collided in the home straight.  Tanoan Creek tired in the home straight.

Tanoan Creek was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dapiran the trainer of Tanoan Creek regarding the greyhound's performance tonight.  Mr. Dapiran stated that he believed the greyhound was looking for the extra distance following recent racing over 600 metres, however after beginning well and finding the lead the greyhound found the 680 metre trip too far.  Stewards noted Mr. Dapiran's explanation and took no further action.

Wild Angel and Lektra Flame were quick to begin.  Freedom Fire was slow to begin.  Thumb A Ride crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Karise Fusileer, Magical Bling and Viewing. Magical Bling was checked off Karise Fusileer on the first turn.  Wild Angel and Lektra Flame collided on the first turn.  Magical Bling was checked off Viewing approaching the home turn.  Lektra Flame and Thumb A Ride collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Eustance regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cyclone Jebrynah.  Stewards directed that Cyclone Jebrynah be boxed first in future events.
