Steward's Report

Sprint Tee was quick to begin.  Dundee Tango, Blackhaven and Galloping Tina were slow to begin.  Tanoan Creek and Woodleigh Blue collided soon after the start.  Sprint Tee, Destroyer and Blackhaven collided approaching the first turn.  Woodleigh Blue was checked off Cha Ching Ching on the first turn.  Destroyer and Blackhaven collided on the first turn.  Dundee Tango and Galloping Tina collided on the second turn checking Galloping Tina.  Destroyer galloped on Spring Tee in the back straight checking Sprint Tee.  Woodleigh Blue was checked off Cha Ching Ching on the third turn.  Cha Ching Ching and Tanoan Creek collided in the home straight.  Tanoan Creek and Dundee Tango collided in the home straight.  Tanoan Creek tired in the home straight.

Tanoan Creek was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dapiran the trainer of Tanoan Creek regarding the greyhound's performance tonight.  Mr. Dapiran stated that he believed the greyhound was looking for the extra distance following recent racing over 600 metres, however after beginning well and finding the lead the greyhound found the 680 metre trip too far.  Stewards noted Mr. Dapiran's explanation and took no further action.
