A pre-race sample was taken from Siver Lightning.
Wild Oscar, Rocketness and Siver Lightning were slow to begin.
Bonta Magic turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event. Woodleigh Sal and Little Bit Shiny collided soon after the start. Wild Oscar, Little Bit Shiny and Rocketness collided on the first turn, checking Wild Oscar, Little Bit Shiny and Emma's Sparrow. Wild Oscar and Little Bit Shiny collided on the first turn causing Wild Oscar to contact the running rail; Emma's Sparrow galloped on Wild Oscar as a result, causing Wild Oscar to fall. Emma's Sparrow and Siver Lightning collided approaching the home turn. Woodleigh Sal and Bonnie Blue collided approaching the home turn. Woodleigh Sal checked off Bonnie Blue entering the home straight. Rocketness and Siver Lightning collided in the home straight.
