Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Lure Driver Mr C Hiscock did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Mrs. Pressley and Headline News were quick to begin. Oleg and Lektra Stroll were slow to begin.

Oleg and Lektra Stroll collided soon after the start. Mrs. Pressley and Headline News collided on the first turn. Mrs. Pressley and Lektra Stroll collided several times on the second turn. Oleg and Headline News collided on the second turn. Destini Fortress checked off the heels of Headline News on the second turn. Mrs. Pressley and Lektra Stroll collided several times on the third turn. Lektra Stroll checked off the heels of Mrs. Pressley on the third turn, checking Headline News. Oleg checked off the heels of Mrs. Pressley on the third turn. Lektra Stroll visibly eased approaching the fourth turn. Mrs. Pressley shifted out and visibly eased on the home turn and collided with Hillbilly Boy. Destini Fortress checked off the heels of Headline News on the home turn. Oleg shifted out and turned his head outwards in the home straight, colliding with Mrs. Pressley.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Higgins, the trainer of the greyhound Mrs. Pressley, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Mrs. Pressley was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and shoulder muscles, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mrs. Pressley with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Higgins pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mrs. Pressley was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lektra Stroll was vetted and revetted following event three. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Carl Schlensog, the kennel representative for the greyhound Lektra Stroll, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the fourth turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Lektra Stroll with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Schlensog pleaded guilty to the charge, Lektra Stroll was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows (MEP) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
