Krazy Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left wrist and a minor laceration to the left foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the trainer of the greyhound Krazy Blaze. Stewards deemed the performance of Krazy Blaze unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Krazy Blaze must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Antoine was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained possible cramping, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. R Cameron, the trainer of the greyhound Antoine. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Lingard, the trainer of Xander Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Xander Bale last raced on the 30th August, 2017. Mr. Lingard stated that the greyhound is returning to racing following a spell. 

Mr. Lingard, trainer of Xander Bale declared a new weight of 31.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Xander Bale last raced at 30.0kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Liberty Sage. 

Krazy Jane, Mighty Storm and Evelyn were slow to begin. Liberty Sage and Prince Mikado collided soon after the start, checking Prince Mikado. Liberty Sage and Prince Mikado collided at the 300m mark. Mighty Storm and Evelyn collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Mighty Storm. Krazy Jane marred Cozi Fitz approaching the 100m mark. Bushman's Legend crossed to the inside approaching the 100m mark, checking Mighty Storm, Liberty Sage and Evelyn. Krazy Jane marred Cozi Fitz approaching the winning post. 

Krazy Jane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor lacerations to the left fore and hind legs, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the trainer of the greyhound Krazy Jane regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Krazy Jane with marring. Mr. Quinn pleaded guilty to the charge, Krazy Jane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bless 'Em All was slow to begin. Suspicious Lee and Mini Tron collided soon after the start, checking Mini Tron. Woodleigh Blaze and Rock It Ronny collided soon after the start. Fear Fire and Suspicious Lee collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Suspicious Lee and Mini Tron. 

Amazon Warrior was slow to begin. Raging Inferno and Team Son collided soon after the start. Dodge Ball and Grooven Chris collided soon after the start. Ringading Bling was a late scratching at 9:41am due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Brett, the trainer of Mallard regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mallard last raced on the 30th June, 2017. Mr. Brett stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after being on season and following a left monkey muscle injury. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Boston You Essay. 

Sublime Sull was slow to begin. Sublime Sull, Boston You Essay and Daintree Teacake collided soon after the start, checking Sublime Sull. Sublime Sull, Daintree Teacake and Selynya Kev collided approaching the 150m mark. Mallard and Selynya Kev collided approaching the 100m mark, checking Selynya Kev and severely checking Daintree Teacake which fell. 

Daintree Teacake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor swelling to the right shoulder, no stand down period was imposed. 

Meeting comments: 

Stewards were informed that the track was deep harrowed on the 27th of December, 2017. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Aye Milo trialled over the 350m from box 8, weight 35.0kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 19.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.25 lengths. Aye Milo was not cleared.
