I'm Neegan was quick to begin.  Ballistic Gem, Aussie Bok Choy and News print were slow to begin.

Galloping Tina checked off Come On Colour soon after the start checking Aussie Bok Choy.  My Girl Josiah, Come On Colour and I'm Neegan collided approaching the first turn checking My Gorl Josiah.  Aussie Bok Choy and I'm Neegan collided in the home straight.

How's It Burning, Penny Black and Spritely Malibu were slow to begin.  

Gnocchi and Maximum Bliss collided soon after the start.  How's It Burning and Penny Black collided approaching the first turn.  Spritely Malibu faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground. How's It Burning, Penny Black and Extra Kisses collided on the first turn checking Extra Kisses.

Spritely Malibu was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left fibula injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Buckle Up Spitz was slow to begin.

Hurricane Craig crossed to the rail soon after the start severely checking Mt. View Gift which fell and collided with Mia Crazy and Bonnie Blue, Mia Crazy lost ground as a result.  Buckle Up Spitz galloped on Long Live Sid on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Apila Cash and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the home turn.  

Mia Crazy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist and right triangle injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Gift was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Buckle Up Spitz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Chain Smoker - winner of the event.

Joyce's Choice was a late scratching at 11:29am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr I. Anderson was fined the sum of $100. 

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Johnson, the trainer of Dave's Mistake regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dave's Mistake last raced on 25th July 2017.  Mr Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

Dave's Mistake, Amaroo Bazinga and Renaldo were slow to begin.

Dave's Mistake faltered on the first turn.  Panda Rebel raced wide on the home turn.  Useful raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Amaroo Bazinga.  Renaldo and Serious Secret collided entering the home straight.  Useful and Amaroo Bazinga collided in the home straight.

Dave's Mistake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Hooded Troyer, Azza and Belisarius were slow to begin.

Paddy's Cripp, Gestalt Allen and Barb Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Gestalt Allen.  Zipping Tina and Azza collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Gestalt Allen checked off Hooded Troyer approaching the home turn.  Paddy's Cripp raced wide on the home turn checking Barb Allen.  Paddy's Cripp raced wide in the home straight.  Cosmic Breeze and Belisarius collided in the home straight.

Fiery Miss was a late scratching at 11:32am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to right shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Buckle Up Todd was quick to begin.

Delta's Magic and Mrs. Jawa collided soon after the start.  Buckle Up Todd and Five Lights collided on the first turn. Get The Gaff, Buckle Up Todd and Delta's Magic collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Todd.  Get The Gaff and Delta's Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Get the gaff.  Five Lights and No Guarantees collided approaching the home turn.  Delta's Magic and Five Lights collided approaching the winning post.

Machiko and Moore Of Darcy collided soon after the start.  Canya Rousey and Burnsy's Sam collided soon after the start.  Machiko and Moore Of Darcy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Nat crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Lochinvar Rox and Anjing Betina.  Nat and Anjing Betina raced wide entering the home straight. 

Moore Of Darcy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pawfection.

Destructo Rat and Woodleigh Blaze were quick to begin.

Ends Well, Aston Salute and Coolan Man collided soon after the start.  Destructo Rat faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Aston Salute and Simbarea collided on the first turn checking Aston Salute.  Pawfection eased approaching the winning post and collided with Woodleigh Blaze.

Destructo Rat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Pawfection was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Hall, the trainer of the greyhound Pawfection regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Pawfection with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Hall pleaded not guilty to the charge, Pawfection was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
