Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Galloping Leo.
Galloping Leo was quick to begin. Lektra Flame, Merchant Prince and Champagne Papi were slow to begin. Lakeview Harley was checked off Ellen's Stardust on the first turn checking Merchant Prince. Ya Welcome was checked off Penny Lane Keats on the first turn. Merchant Prince, Ya Welcome and Champagne Papi collided entering the back straight. Ya Welcome lost ground entering the back straight. Lakeview Harley faltered and lost considerable ground in the back straight. Ellen's Stardust was checked off Lektra Flame on the second turn. Penny Lane Keats was checked off Ellen's Stardust on the home turn and collided with Merchant Prince.
Lakeview Harley was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Ya Welcome was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Weight Trial:-
Rashleigh's Banser trialled over 315 metres from box 5, weight 31.6kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 2. The time of the trial was 18.83 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths. Rashleigh Banser was cleared.
Following event 2 Stewards offered trainers the opportunity under GAR 23(2) to apply to scratch their greyhound (no penalty) , due to the excessive noise and lights from the carnival operating close to the track Only Mr. G. Allen (Tree Climber Liv) made an application.
