Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Steel the handler of Ma Ma Keogh regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ma Ma Keogh last raced on 29th June 2017. Mr. Steel stated that the greyhound had been on season.
A pre race sample was taken from Doorkeeper.
Hard Luck Story was quick to begin. Moonbeam stumbled soon after the start. Ma Ma Keogh checked off Gomez Sanchez approaching the first turn. Gomez Sanchez and Hard Luck Story collided on the first turn. Gomez Sanchez galloped on the heels of Nicky Jo and Hard Luck Story on the first turn, checking Hard Luck Story and causing Nicky Jo to fall. Moonbeam and Hard Luck Story collided on the first turn, checking Annie Lava.
Nicky Jo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulders and the left hip, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
