Thanks Cheryl, Rampant Jack and Lemon Chicken were quick to begin. Blackpool Chuck and Cloona Express were slow to begin. Catsford Allan and Rampant Jack collided soon after the start. Rampant Jack and Lemon Chicken collided approaching the first turn. Catsford Allan, Rampant Jack and Lemon Chicken collided approaching the first turn. Thanks Cheryl and Sea Mist collided on the first turn, causing Sea Mist to fall, checking Cloona Express, Catsford Allan, Rampant Jack and Lemon Chicken. Blackpool Chuck and Cloona Express collided on the home turn. Catsford Allan tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Sea Mist was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles and the left hamstring, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Kampman regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Catsford Allan. Cats ford Allen was declared difficult to box. Stewards directed that Catsford Allan be boxed first in future events.
