Steward's Report
Mr Keith Kelly, trainer of Lord Kitchener, declared a new weight of 29.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lord Kitchener last raced at 28.0kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from She's A Rebel.
Jackdell and Lord Kitchener were slow to begin.
Destini Baby shifted in soon after the start, checking She's A Rebel and Destini Mermaid. Iona Express checked off Meeniyan Jet entering the back straight, also checking Destini Baby, Jackdell, Destini Mermaid and She's A Rebel; Jackdell fell as a result of this incident.
Jackdell was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture of the left radius-ulna and was humanely euthanised.
