Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Vanessa Watson, the trainer of Whacker Fancy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Whacker Fancy last raced on June 17th 2017. Ms Watson stated that the greyhound was returning to race following a change of kennel.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from My Rachael; a post-race sample was subsequently collected from the greyhound which placed fifth in the event.
Maximum Effect went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground. Avatar Dodge, Saint Ray, Whacker Fancy and Just Crystal collided soon after the start, checking Whacker Fancy and Just Crystal. Avatar Dodge and Flying Sam collided repeatedly approaching the first turn. Flying Sam checked off Avatar Dodge on the first turn.
