Smurftastic was quick to begin. Shi The One was slow to begin.
Harry's Hammer checked off King's Fury approaching the first turn. Monoak checked off Larrikan Bozzie on the first turn, also checking Harry's Hammer. Smurftastic and Paints A Story collided in the home straight.
Alpe D'Blanc was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right long head triceps (monkey) and gracilis (back) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
