Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Boreland, the representative of the greyhound Zipping Tatum regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Tatum last raced on 17th April, 2017. Mr. Boreland stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell and being on season.
Mr. W. Boreland, the representative of Zipping Tatum declared a new weight of 32.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zipping Tatum last raced at 30.9kgs.
Urban Street was slow to begin. Macalister Sam and Tiger Rance collided approaching the first turn checking Macalister Sam which lost ground. Sam Whelan, Adala Boy and Jenna Bale collided approaching the first turn. Sam Whelan galloped on Adala Boy on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Sam Whelan and Adala Boy collided approaching the home turn. Jenna Bale checked off Tiger Rance approaching the home turn. Zipping Tatum clipped the heels of One More Tom approaching the home turn. One More Tom clipped the heels of Zipping Tatum in the home straight.
Sam Whelan was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
