Logistic Kid and Cosmic Breeze were slow to begin.
Ringading Bling and Blucifer collided soon after the start. Mini Tron crossed to the inside at the 300m mark. Assemble Nitro and Mini Tron collided approaching the 250m mark. Assemble Nitro checked off Mini Tron at the 250m mark. Blucifer and Logistic Kid collided at the 250m mark. Mini Tron and Ringading Bling collided at the 200m mark. Logistic Kid and Blucifer collided at the 150m mark. Assemble Nitro and Rooey collided at the 100m mark. Assemble Nitro galloped on the heels of Cosmic Breeze approaching the winning post. Logistic Kid, Blucifer and Mini Tron collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Ms D Winter regarding the direction that the greyhound Rooey be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
