Steward's Report
A pre- race sample was taken from Emilia Mel upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Stand As One.
Dr. Flannigan was quick to begin. Loaded was slow to begin. Emilia Mel galloped on Trey Smidge on the first turn checking Emilia Mel and Our Delta Rose. Loaded galloped on Stand As One on the first turn severely checking Stand As One which stumbled and pulled up. Emilia Mel contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.
Stand As One was vetted and after being re vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McMahon, the representative of the greyhound Stand As One regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Stand As One with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge. Stand As One was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
