Take Home Sadie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury and split webbing to the left hindleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Elston, the trainer of the greyhound Georgie Porgi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Georgie Porgi last raced on 18th September, 2017.  Mr. Elston stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after torn webbing on the left hind.

Swanny Flyer was slow to begin.  Zipping Nessy and Wy Yung Floods collided soon after the start.  Zipping Nessy and Wy Yung Floods collided on the first turn checking Pass The Jar and severely checking Wy Yung Floods.  Georgie Porgi, Sapphire Power and Swanny Flyer collided on the first turn checking Sapphire Power and severely checking Swanny Flyer.  Sale Graze Chloe checked off Mega Hazel entering the home straight.

Dr. Flannigan was quick to begin.  Loaded was slow to begin.  Emilia Mel galloped on Trey Smidge on the first turn checking Emilia Mel and Our Delta Rose.  Loaded galloped on Stand As One on the first turn severely checking Stand As One which stumbled and pulled up.  Emilia Mel contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.

Stand As One was vetted and after being re vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McMahon, the representative of the greyhound Stand As One regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Stand As One with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Stand As One was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pursuant to GAR 32 Mr. B. Divirgilio the representative of the greyhound Inequity contacted GRV Stewards on the 21st December, 2017,  to report that the greyhound had developed a haematoma on the neck following a blood sample being taken from the greyhound on Tuesday 19th December, 2017.  The greyhound was examined at the meeting today and was cleared to race.

Chasin' Crackers was quick to begin.  Van Ann, Royal Intention, Inequity and Quick Jagger were slow to begin.  Quick Jagger checked off Fanta Bale soon after the start.  Inequity crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Gold Vein which raced wide severely checking Van Ann.  Brueghelino and Fanta Bale collided on the first turn.  Inequity checked off Brueghelino approaching the second turn.  Royal Intention and Inequity collided approaching the second turn.  Royal Intention checked off Inequity on the second turn.  Chasin' Crackers and Quick Jagger collided approaching the home turn.  Chasin' Crackers and Fanta Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Chasin' Crackers,  Fanta Bale and Quick Jagger collided on the home turn.  Royal Intention and Inequity collided on the home turn checking Royal Intention and Van Ann.

Call Me Tickets eased approaching the home turn and collided with Meehan Deano.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide approaching the home turn and in the home straight.  Meehan Deano raced wide in the home straight.

Call Me Tickets was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left pencil muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Russell, the trainer of the greyhound Call Me Tickets regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  After viewing the available footage stewards were unable to establish whether the greyhound made head contact with the greyhound Meehan Deano.  As a result stewards laid a charge acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Call Me Tickets with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge.  Call Me Tickets was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Alford, the trainer of the greyhound Mi Blue Day regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mi Blue Day last raced on 30th August, 2017.  Mr. Alford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a torn stomach muscle.
