Steward's Report

Mr Alex Cooper, trainer of Acer, declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Acer last raced at 31.1kg.

Acer and Medika collided soon after the start. Lights Of Tanjil and Golden Gem collided soon after the start. Champagne Luxe crossed to the outside soon after the start. Aston Halle crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Lights Of Tanjil, Golden Gem, Vandebay and Acer. Champagne Luxe and Medika collided at the 300m mark. Golden Gem checked off Vandebay at the 250m mark. Trapezius checked off Aston Halle at the 200m mark and raced wide. Golden Gem and Acer collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Golden Gem. Medika and Champagne Luxe collided several times from the 100m mark to the 50m mark. Aston Halle, Champagne Luxe and Medika collided at the 50m mark. Aston Halle and Champagne Luxe collided approaching the winning post.

Aston Halle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

After viewing all available footage, Stewards issued a warning to Mr Lee Rowe, the trainer of Aston Halle, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
