A pre-race sample was taken from Fernando Stealth.

Silvagni Cubed and Mega McKayla were quick to begin.

Buckle Up Leo and Hurricane Patch collided soon after the start checking Hurricane Patch.  Silvagni Cubed and Buckle Up Leo collided on the first turn checking Silvagni Cubed.  Silvagni Cubed and Oriental Tarj collided approaching the home turn checking Silvagni Cubed.  Maggie Mikado and Hurricane Patch raced wide on the home turn.  Maggie Mikado raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Violet Sky.

Misload was quick to begin.  Ninetymile Hawk, How's It Thunder, Hurricane Lucas and Sandtrack Sniper were slow to begin.

Violet Sky and Fernando's Dream collided soon after the start.  Scooby Scooby Do checked off Violet Sky on the first turn checking Scooby Scooby Do and How's It Thunder.  Violet Sky and Misload raced wide in the home straight.  Violet Sky and Misload collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nellie Shan.

Optima Semper was quick to begin.  Ballistic Gem and Big Butterbean were slow to begin.

Tansy girl and Proving Ground collided several times from soon after the start to on the first turn.  Optima Semper lost ground approaching the first turn.  Cosmic Magic raced wide on the first turn.  Proving Ground and Tansy Girl collided on the first turn checking Tansy girl and Optima Semper.  Proving ground checked off Fairly Legal approaching the home turn.  Proving ground raced wide on the home turn.  Cosmic Magic raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Cosmic Magic eased entering the home straight.  Big Butterbean and Tansy Girl collided in the home straight checking Big butterbean.

Stewards spoke to Mr F. Langenhoff, the trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Magic regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Cosmic Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to right back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cosmic Magic with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Langenhoff pleaded guilty to the charge, Cosmic Magic was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Mr Langenhaff and issued a warning in relation to leaving the course without retrieving his vet certificate.

Optima Semper was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr C. Kas,the trainer of Optima Semper regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant Ms R. Bau and parade steward Mr L. Sullivan in regards to the trainer of Optima Semper parading with the 6 bib on instead of the 5, both were reminded of their responsibilities.

Stewards spoke to Mr C. Kas the trainer of Optima Semper in regards to wearing the incorrect bib for this event.  Mr Kas admitted his negligence and Stewards issued him with a warning.

A pre-race sample was taken from Carson County.

Chucky Thump, Mega Hazel and Baudelaire were quick to begin.

Chucky Thump galloped on Mega Hazel approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Crackerjack Man and Mega Hazel collided on the first turn checking Mega Hazel.  Chucky Thump and Mega Hazel collided entering the home straight checking Chucky Thump.

A pre-race sample was taken from She's Perfect.

Stella View was quick to begin.  Blue Magoo, Wanneroo and Watch The One were slow to begin.  

Flash Bobbie checked off Aston Abbott on the first turn checking Aston Abbott, severely checking Wanneroo, Rosie Glenda and Flash Bobbie, Flash Bobbie fell as a result.  Stella View and Aston Abbott collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Stella View checked off Aston Abbott on the home turn.  

Wanneroo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Flash Bobbie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury, 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Serious Secret.

Brandeen Fi, Temujin and Royal Bruno collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Temjuin and Royal Bruno collided approaching the first turn checking Royal Bruno and severely checking Temujin.  Royal Bruno checked off Brandeen Fi approaching the home turn.  Mood Swings and Royal Bruno collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Just Blacky raced wide in the home straight.  

A pre-race sample was taken from Anjing Betina.

Flip and Mizuki were quick to begin.  Bandit's Girls was slow to begin.

Anjing Betina and Mizuki collided approaching the first turn checking Anjing Betina.  Anjing Betina checked off Mizuki on the first turn.  Son Of Steve checked off Bandit's Girls in the home straight.  Anjing Betina raced wide in the home straight.

Another Shiner was a late scratching at 2.08pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to seasonal. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Jonny Bravo and Razzle Oak collided soon after the start checking Razzle Oak.  Galaxy Star and Middle Trucker collided approaching the first turn.  Middle Trucker and Row Tay Tom raced wide in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Telling, the trainer of Heza Gem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Heza Gem last raced on 18/9/2017. Mr Telling stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Mr Telling also declared a new weight of 33.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Heza Gem last raced at 34.7kgs.

Voluptuous Dot was quick to begin.

Heza Gem, Meehan Phil and Billy Moran collided soon after the start checking Meehan Phil and Billy Moran.  Voluptuous Dot and Brindle Ninja collided approaching the first turn checking Beljay Galaxy, Billy Moran, Voluptuous Dot and severely checking Brindle Ninja which stumbled as a result.  Voluptuous Dot and Beljay Galaxy collided on the first turn checking Beljay Galaxy, Pacific Beach and Racey Rose.  Heza Gem and Meehan Phil collided on the first turn.  Beljay Galaxy checked off Pacific Beach approaching the home turn causing Beljay Galaxy to race wide as a result.  Beljay Galaxy and Voluptuous Dot raced wide in the home straight.

Need A Zac and Tilley's Pie was quick to begin.  Long Live Sid was slow to begin. 

Need A Zac and Mikado Boy collided approaching the first turn.  Mikado Boy crossed out on the first turn checking Captain Universe, Blue Addiction, Soon Now and Aladdin prince.  Mikado Boy eased on the first turn checking Captain Universe, Soon Now and Blue Addiction.  Blue Addiction and Mikado Boy collided on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds and causing both to race wide as a result.  Blue Addiction and Mikado Boy raced wide in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Barber, the trainer of the greyhound Mikado Boy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Mikado Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hip, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Mikado Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs Barber pleaded guilty to the charge, Mikado Boy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kayla Las and Porscha's Girl were quick to begin.  Shadow Diamond was slow to begin.

Riclesky and First Target collided soon after the start checking First Target.  Shadow Diamond checked off First Target on the first turn.  Hannah Bear checked off Liberty Diamond approaching the home turn.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Emperor Cruz a resevse in this event on 19th December 2017,  pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jamari Belle.

Penny Lane Keats was quick to begin.  Viewing was slow to begin. Jamari Belle and Daisy Patch collided approaching the first turn checking Jamari Belle.  Zulu Zoe and Delta's Magic collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Daisy Patch checked off Shotgun Sammy on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Jamari Belle brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Viewing and Daisy Patch collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Delta's Magic and Shotgun Sammy collided in the home straight.

Jamari Belle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results –Lady Spur trialled over the 460mtrs from box 1, weight 28.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 ½ lengths. Lady Spur was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results –Dewana Dime trialled over the 460mtrs from box 3, weight 29.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.04, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 ¾ lengths. Dewana Dime was Cleared.
